THE Brisbane Lions may not be in finals contention, but they’re going to go out of 2018 swinging — and perhaps break some hearts along the way.

In defeating Hawthorn by 33 points in Launceston on Saturday afternoon, a number of records tumbled.

It was not only Hawthorn’s second defeat at York Park in 27 starts, but the first time the Lions had strung three wins together since 2013.
